We're constantly refining EchoSpan to remove friction for administrators and create a better experience for participants. This month, we've rolled out four practical enhancements designed to make managing 360 feedback projects even easier, more accurate, and more reliable.

None of these changes are flashy. But each one will help make your projects run more smoothly from launch to final report.

1. "Avoid Weekends" Option in Autopilot Suggest Dates

Our Autopilot feature is designed to reduce manual work by automatically scheduling project emails and milestone events. One of its most popular components is "Suggest Dates," which maps out your project timeline in seconds.

Now, administrators can choose to "Avoid Weekends" with a simple checkbox.

When selected, the system will automatically shift scheduled emails and milestone events to weekdays only. No more manually reviewing suggested dates to make sure invitations or reminders aren't landing on a Saturday morning. No more adjusting timelines after the fact.

For organizations that prefer business-day communications, this small option makes a big difference. And for those that don't mind weekend activity, nothing changes. The control is entirely yours.

2. Clearer, Smarter Error Messages in Import Targets

Uploading participant data should be straightforward. But when a spreadsheet format is slightly off, column headers don't match, or required fields are missing, it can quickly become frustrating.

We've significantly improved the Import Targets experience by providing clearer, more actionable error messages.

Instead of generic upload failures, the system now identifies which rows contain a the problem and what correction needs to be made.

This means less guesswork and fewer back-and-forth attempts to get an upload accepted. Administrators can quickly fix the problem and move forward without delay.

3. Enhanced Visibility and Safeguards in the Message Queue

Communication tracking is critical in any 360 project. Administrators need to know what was sent, when it was sent, and whether it was received.

We've enhanced the queued and sent messages display to provide clearer date visibility and improved tracking. Upgrades include:

  • Display dates in a friendlier format in the message list.
  • View the time and date a message was delivered to a recipient.
  • A completely redesigned email preview feature that more accurately renders messages as they'll appear when received.
  • Added protective logic to prevent duplicate email sends.

4. A Faster, More Organized Review Item Editor

Last but not least, we've also improved the Review Item editor page to make survey design smoother and more intuitive. The page now loads 10x faster, is more responsive and is easier to navigate when working with multiple competencies and questions. These updates reduce friction for administrators who spend significant time refining review content, helping you move more quickly from design to launch without sacrificing clarity or control.

These changes will be rolled out for all customers on March 7th, 2026. Availability may be earlier for some accounts.

Thank you to our customers for the ideas and feedback that inspire many of these improvements. Several of these updates came directly from conversations with administrators who shared what would make their projects run more smoothly. We're always listening, and we welcome your suggestions. If there's something that would make EchoSpan work better for you, let us know.

At EchoSpan, we believe great software should quietly do its job in the background, so you can focus on developing leaders and driving meaningful growth inside your organization.
