----------

If you've worked with EchoSpan for any length of time, you know that what you're really relying on isn't just the software. It's the people behind it. Client managers who know 360 feedback methodology inside out. Who can tell you how many raters is too many, why your completion rates are dropping, how to structure a debrief for a defensive executive, or whether this is even the right moment to run a review at all.

That expertise is hard to replicate. We've spent two decades accumulating it. And until now, it lived primarily in people which meant it was available when they were.

But your work doesn't always happen during business hours. A review launches Monday and you're setting it up Sunday. You're preparing for a debrief tonight and want to think through your approach. You're completing a vendor security questionnaire for your procurement team and need specific answers about how we handle data. These moments are real, and they happen constantly.

So we asked ourselves a question: what would it look like to make everything we know available to you, instantly, whenever you need it?

EchoSpan Help is our answer.

What it actually knows

Most AI help tools are pointed at documentation. They find articles. They summarize pages. They're useful for locating things, but have real limitations. Ask one how to handle an employee who's convinced their feedback is wrong, and you'll get a generic response about active listening. Ask one when you shouldn't use 360 feedback, and it may not even understand the question.

EchoSpan Help is different because of what we put into it. We spent months building a knowledge base from the ground up not from the internet, not from a general language model's assumptions, but from our own expertise and experience spanning more than 21 years.

The result is a tool that can answer the questions your client manager would answer. Not just "where is the setting," but "what should I do, and why."

What that looks like in practice

EchoSpan Help can answer questions across four areas that matter most to our clients:

  • Program design and methodology. How many raters to assign and why. When not to use 360 feedback. How to protect rater anonymity. How to structure a multi-cycle program. What the research says about rater group sizes, survey length, and completion rates.
  • Debrief and development. How to prepare for a difficult debrief. What to do when an employee disagrees with their results. How to connect feedback to a development plan. How to use 360 data to measure change over time.
  • Platform configuration. How to set up rater groups, configure the Project Autopilot, build report templates, manage the employee database, and use advanced settings with the context behind each decision, not just the steps.
  • Security and compliance. Encryption standards, data processing addendum terms, subprocessor disclosure, AI data handling, breach notification procedures accurate answers drawn directly from our Trust Center documentation, ready for your vendor questionnaire.

What it does when it doesn't know

When EchoSpan Help can't answer something, you'll see a "Get Help From a Person" button. One click, a brief note about what you need, and your full conversation is passed to our team automatically with complete context. No re-explaining. No starting over. The people who know your program pick up exactly where the conversation left off.

Nothing about your existing relationship changes. EchoSpan Help is an extension of that relationship, not a replacement for it.

Why we built it this way

The knowledge base we built reflects what our team actually knows, refined over 21 years of working with organizations across industries. That's not something you can replicate by indexing documentation. It required deciding what a good answer looks like, writing it down, and making sure the tool could find it when it was needed.

We're soft-launching this week and refining it based on real usage. Every thumbs-down rating and escalation tells us where to improve. We've built a feedback loop that closes gaps quickly as they surface so the tool gets better the more you use it.

Look for the help icon in the bottom right corner of your admin portal. Ask it something hard.

EchoSpan is a privately held, investor-free 360-degree feedback platform. We've been running feedback programs since 2005.
