Version 7.67 of the EchoSpan platform will be released on May 26th, 2018. This release includes more than twenty new features and enhancements to our 360-degree feedback tool. As always, all new features are included at no cost in each edition of the tool as indicated below.
 
A brief summary of the new features and enhancements are below. Additional documentation on each of these items is available in our product guides. We’re thankful to all of our customers for their suggestions and feedback that have led to these great new additions to the platform.

7.67 Release Highlights
(P= Professional Edition, E = Enterprise Edition, A = All Editions)

Major Enhancements:

  1. Enhanced Legal Scan – The legal scan feature has been enhanced for all users of the tool. Users will experience a new, faster legal scan interface that is now both mobile and PC compatible. The new legal scan works with EchoSpan’s multi-language functionality and scans each question individually, so it’s clear to the user where edits are needed. Enterprise Edition clients can also create an editable list of words to be flagged by the legal scan in all languages. (A)
  2. Monitoring for Undeliverable Email Addresses – The EchoSpan tool now alerts project admins when an email cannot be delivered to a participant. To do this, the system proactively verifies email addresses of Targets and Raters as they are entered manually into a project. If an admin tries to enter an unreachable email address, the system will alert the admin via a pop-up window in the tool. (A)
  3. Auto-Translate Comments – Language translations have been taken one step further in version 7.67. Enterprise Edition clients can now choose to automatically translate open-ended feedback comments from one language to another using neural translation technology. This allows end users to read their entire report in their preferred language. Comments that are automatically translated are flagged so it's clear to the reader that they are not original. (E)
  4. Employee Import API – Enterprise clients now have the option of keeping their employee hierarchy up to date through an API employee import feature. By using the API import tool you can automate the addition, removal or modification of employee records in your EchoSpan account database.   5. Convert Scores to Percentages –We have added an option to convert scores to a percentage on some of our standard 360 report components. Using a custom report template, admins can now choose to convert scores from a numerical value to a percentage from the report component settings for the following components: Competency Profile Chart, Competency Summary, Individual Review Items, and the Blind Spots/Hidden Strengths.   6. Limited Admin Capability – Accounts in version 7.67 contain a new special parameter that can be activated in order to limit feature sets for sub-admins. This is useful in situations where you want to restrict sub-admins to only have very basic access to projects, with visibility limited to Targets that they’ve created. Limited admin capability applies to the project homepage, Raters page, email queue, report batching/distribution and group reports.  Those accessing accounts as limited admins have no access to the Project Menu, Setup Menu, Project Checklist, and most email and reporting options, such as exports.   7. GDPR Updates – EchoSpan is committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of all of its users. As part of this commitment, EchoSpan will be GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) compliant by May 25, 2018. A summary of how we will, and already do, comply with this new set of regulations can be found here. (A)

  1. Add "reportdatelong" merge field for report cover pages (A)
  2. Duplicate Targets and Raters when cloning project (A)
  3. Super competency profile radar chart (P, E)
  4. Logic to always redirect Target to their newest project with a self-evaluation upon login (P, E)
  5. Normalization of sentiment analysis scores based on standard deviation (P, E)
  6. Active/Stopped Targets tabs on project dashboard (P, E)
  7. Option to remove page breaks between sections in Individual Review Items report component. (P, E)
  8. Added support for rater pooling in calculations of rank scores (P, E)
  9. Hide empty Rater groups, that are empty due to Report Pooling settings, when batching reports (P, E)
  10. Exports support secondary (scored) competency assignments for single-project exports (E)
  11. Automatic comment redaction (BETA) (E)

How to Upgrade

Once released, the version 7.67 update is automatically applied to any new, blank project you create. You can also update an existing project by opening the project and clicking "Upgrade Project" in the top right of the project’s homepage if an update is available. Upgrades are available to clients without existing customizations. Note that if you clone a project that uses an older version of code, the new project will also be based on the older code and require an update.
